Overview
The Fuego app offers On-Demand Pay1 as well as the option to apply for a Fuego Visa® Card.
The Fuego Card supports the use of On-Demand Pay by allowing you to benefit from fee-free draws when you set up direct deposits or fee-free tip pay-out transactions depending on which On-Demand Pay service you choose/your employer offers
Additionally, the Fuego Card itself has some key benefits such as early2 access to pay, digital wallet payments and free cash withdrawals (in network), as well as opening up personal financial management tools in the Fuego app.

The steps below outline the application process for the Fuego Card.
Creating a Fuego Account
In order to be able to apply for the Fuego Card you must have a Fuego app account. This is done when using the Fuego app for the first time - please follow the guidance here.
Once you have a Fuego account set up, follow the steps below.
Applying for the Fuego Card
Depending on which account creation path you followed, the application for the Fuego Card itself will present in different ways
If you chose the Fuego Card-only route or your employer is set up only to offer the Fuego Card, you will see an 'Fuego Visa Card' tile with an Apply Now button on the main dashboard when you first log in to start the Card application route
If you chose to link to your employer, for a short period you may only see the 'verifying your employment' message on the My Pay tab. As soon as you have been verified, this will update to the usual dashboard where you will be able to apply for a Fuego Card.
- After clicking Apply Now, the application flow will initiate. Review the important procedure information and provide your SSN and Date of Birth
- Confirm your legal address (entered when creating your Fuego account)
- If required, enter a separate Mailing Address (which will also go through a USPS check for accuracy purposes)
- Then select Continue
- Lastly, review and agree to the Cardholder Agreement, Privacy Policy and Fee Schedule
- Then select Apply for Fuego Card
At this point, the system will run an ID check against the details provided. This is not a credit check but a validation process to match your provided details.
ID verified
- If your application was successful you will see the following screen:
- To view a digital version of your Card, select Add to Digital Wallet, and use this information to add your Card to the digital wallet on your phone
- Additionally, you can view your Account and Routing number information to set up direct deposit to be eligible for fee-free earned wage access draws, or select the Fuego Card as your default payment account for tip payout to benefit from fee-free tip pay-out transactions.
- You will receive a welcome email and emails with information about when your card has been shipped but these statuses are also available from the card tab from the menu at the bottom of the screen.
Identity not verified
- If your identity is not verified as part of the application process you will be asked to answer some questions about your history so that you can pass the ID check process successfully and receive a Fuego Card

2. For you to be paid early, your employer or payment provider must submit the deposit early. Your payment provider may not submit the deposit early each payment period, so ask when they submit your deposit information to the bank for processing. Early funds deposit begins on the 2nd qualifying deposit, which is defined as a direct deposit greater than $5.00 received from the same payer.
